After Sedo auction has ended and the buyer has not sent sedo the payment within the alloted 10 days do you have the right to cancel at that time? Can you put the domain back on the market immediately or does the buyer still have a right to claim the domain?
I apologise in advance if this question has been asked before.

one of the downsides of selling at sedo... you just need to wait until sedo cancels the transaction.

Soooooooo frustrating!!!! It is beyond me as to why someone would outbid other probably genuine bidders with no intention of buying the domain!!

Its the auction phenomenon.... People get caught up in bidding without really thinking it through or setting a top buy price. Then... Buyers Remorse sets in - and they say forget it - whats the worst that can happen?

Has anyone actually sued a buyer through Sedo who backed out and Won?

didnt have to sue.
I was provided with the info by SEDO and threatened to sue.
I received 30% of the offer as a settlement, which I agreed to, and kept the domain.

I personally think that bids should be secured with a credit card or some type of credit line through Sedo. The money would then be removed from their account as soon as the auction ends to be held by Sedo until the domain is transferred.

It's good, but only as an option.
IMHO, it would discourage many potential buyers.
Yes, some of those might be non payers, but it still presents a problem.
I would thinbk some sort of 'half way' solution could be made, perhaps by membership or some another method of verification.

I understand what you are saying but there is more and more of this going on. My last four so called sales at Sedo have turned out to be non-payers! The way it is set up at the moment means that anyone can "sabotage" your auction. This could be anyone from your general a$$h0!@ to someone who wants the domain but does not want to pay the auction price! I am sure there are many who have been approached after one of these 'Non-auctions' and settled for a price less than the auction price.
