Which Canadian domain registrar would you recommend me to use? I want to reg a domain in .ca zone and know only one company that does it - SiberName.com. Which ones can you recommend me to consider?
Thanks in advance.

I definitely like NamesPro.ca. They're a simple registrar but they're quite cheap compared to some other Canadian ones. They're the only one I've tried, but I've definitely had a good experience with them.

SiberName.com is a big and reputable Canadian domain registrar. I see no reasons to look for any other one. Try to find discounts on their services. They must be in the Internet. It's my standpoint, of course.

Netzilla, you should consider moving your names elsewhere. I can't vouch as to their service, but at $30 a reg, it seems a bit steep. Going rate is between $10-$15 at most other ca registrars.

Moonlight, for a list of all accredited .ca registrars, check here.

Im leaving domainsatcost.ca because their privacy features are terrible (people need to mail a $10 certified check to a company if they want to email you) and control panel isn't great either.

So I reged 5 domains with Sibername tonight and am not impressed.
First their pricing is deceiving as they list the 10 year discount without saying so.
Their control panel is very primitive and only 3 of the 5 names I paid for are showing.
The DNS I set did not stick and defaulted to theirs.
The bulk change is also broken so I guess I have to fix them one at a time.
Can't imagine managing a portfolio on this site.

Why are .ca registrars so behind the times, their com prices are almost all double us rates and the control panels look like 1992.

Namespro.ca is great, a little more than some others (12.88)
but they have excellent support,
and they have always replied to my emails, quickly :)

Actually Sibername got back to me after 1.5 hours and everything was fixed so maybe I was just impatient. Im feeling okay about them now, price is about the same as namespro.

Theres a cheaper place called 10dollar.ca at $10.45 but I dont think they have privacy included and say they may charge extra for other services they dont specify. I dont really trust them.

By the way, forgot to mention that for those that use Sibername, they have the coupon code 1millon for 10% off, in conjunction with cira's 1 millonth registration promotion.

Namespro will provide discounts for those with large portfolios.

As for privacy, what ca'ers need to understand, is that if you use the same CIRA registrant id at different registrars, what changes you make to your contact details at one, including adding privacy will affect the whois on all your names under that registrant ID everywhere else too....

And from what I understand, your real name will ALWAYS show,
whether you have privacy or not. So it makes it kinda redundant
to pay for a service that only hides your address and not your name :-/

Yes, of the privacy services I've seen, even if you let them become the admin contact, they still need to put your name in the organization field. (albiet you can put your business name there, if your cira account is classified as such)

To the OP, SiberName.com is rather a big domain registrar and I have read many positive feedbacks about their services. Theu have provide an onteresting offer on their web site as well: Domain Names from only $11.65, 1 page web site hosting included.
.EU domains from $8.96.
Think they are reliable enough to reg your domains with.

So cheap! Are there any discount on this domain from SiberName.com?
I have heard EuroDNS.com also provide a domain registration on this extension, do you know how much does if cost from them?

I remember seeing discounts for Sibername.com domain name registration services, they should be still valid, did you use any?

Their price is actually 12.95. The 11.65 that was mentioned is the price per year if you reg for 10 years.

The last coupon I saw was 1million for 10% off, as part of the 1 millionth domain promotion. Not sure if it's still valid....
