too bad i don't have the skills to develop
I think that's the wrong attitude. You may buy a lot of land, but does that mean you know how to buid a house?
There are several things you can do to get a website going some takes a little effort, some takes a little $$.
You can hire a designer to develop the site. You can go to various freelance site and get some one to put a site together for you....nothing to fancy. Yeah, it'll cost money, but i also increases the value of your site allowing you to sell it and get a bigger profit.
Second, you can download free scripts like Mambo or something like that can get you going with a site in a matter of minutes.
I know this isn't real estate, but that is what it reminds me of. I have a friend that's into real estate. He will buy land, builds on the land, and then turns around and sells it for 3-5 times what he invested in it. He doesn't put the buildings up himself, he hires a construction/building company for that
