Can foreigner own the dot-US?

I'am not USA resident, can I register dot-US?
and If now I have one, can it confiscated by the registrar or someone who have the power.

Any U.S. citizen or resident, as well as any business or organization, including federal, state, and local government with a bona fide presence in the United States can register a .US domain name.

True, but according to all of the discussion on the neustar mailing list, nobody enforces those rules at all. I do not condone circumventing the rules, but you deserve to know what NEUSTAR (which controls .us) is doing about foreign registrants (and they aren't doing anything).

just get someone you know from the us to allow you to use their address info for the whois. Thats a "bona fide presence" :)

No more so than my using Downing Street as my address and being .eu kosher.

Now if your friend will register them for you, that would be something else entirely.
