.biz .bz and .biz domains

I was just curious... do these domains hold any value? I mean, they're very expensive? I'm learning about domains names and I'm very curious as to why they would be a lot more pricy then say, .com's.

.bz I would suggest only premium keywords or Belize-related terms worthwile (if at all).
Another NP forum memebr has found a registrar offering $17 .bz names (http://www.namepros.com/domain-name-discussion/313456-17-bz-domain-registrations-renewals.html) which seems to be the cheapest.

.biz will never be .com, although good names can be worth decent cash-
traffic.biz was sold for $8000 on Afternic this year, consolidate.biz for example has a $1000 offer on it (It has been a discussion point in this thread: http://www.namepros.com/235856-ugly-1-million-guy-wants-trade-39.html#post1869400)

At most registrars, .biz (new reg) is the same price as .com. If .com goes up as announced, it actually could become cheaper at least until a new registrar agreement is negotiated.

I found a few 3 letter .bz's and some good 3-4 letter/word .tv's. I'm not sure which ones are good and which ones aren't.

I think .bz is total junk and mostly useless. There are other, better alternate extensions to consider IMO... even .cc is better.
As for .biz it's not the most desirable ext either.

Well as far as extension goes between those two, I would cosider .biz to be far more valuable than .bz, as .biz is a Gtld , like .com, .net, .org and .info

I am from canada and I could tell you a few quick things about .ca:

people here love using the .ca extension (I see advertised more than .com!)

.ca can only be registered by a canadian resident or an organization with canadian presence.

Some .ca names make it in the dnjournal sales lists, but every day good names drop so there really isnt a huge demand for these names.

There are many LLL available still and they drop all the time.

Population of Canada is too small for this ext to compete with .com or some other larger CC names.

So... say for a video game name, would you choose .org or .ca?

If your target audience is Canadian only, get .ca, if it's international get both. Or better still, an alternative in .com.

You could always get a .vg too- some .vg owners are branding the extension as video game- tekken.vg, gamers.vg (I own gamer.vg which gets typo traffic from gamers.vg) but this extension is about $30pa, where .ca is about $10
