Hey guys/girls,

I was wondering about plurals and singulars. I run across many open plurals and singulars for existing domains that are doing very well on traffic, cpc, search, etc.

I ALWAYS check the plural and singular forms in my research as a habit. It may be considered 'taboo' to the existing owner, but I'm thinking of picking up a few on my next round of investment.

NOTE: These are all .com names with existing urls for keyword product based domains one letter off. (Hope that made sense)

Buy or not buy?

I have several dn's that are the singular or plural of existing dn's. I'd say that you are probably fine as long as the dn isn't a TM. (I'm not an attorney nor do I play one on TV so take my words with a grain of salt...)

What's funny too is that G's KW tool indicates that a number of my versions have the much higher search volume. Still, none of my "s/p" versions are really developed and I don't see a lot of traffic coming to them so I'd suggest you set your sites low as to what to expect if you decide to reg any "s/p" domains.

Yeah, none of the plurals or singulars are around trademark names. They're all keyword names, but I find a lot of people don't register sungulars (if they have the plural) or plurals (if they have the singular)

So I was wondering if buying a GOOD name that way is encouraged.

Your basis on buying a plural domain should be its volume of keyword as found in Google Adwords Keyword External Tool. If it's getting lots of queries, then that pluralized domain is worth your investment.
