I'm tossing around the idea of selling a few domains but haven't been tracking prices lately. Wondering how sales are doing during this economic climate. Feedback appreciated. Oh.. any any auction sites that don't greedily take 10-15%? I know godaddy. Others?

Prices are down significantly for high quality names, 50% or so overall, having said that the numeric market seems to have done better- though lately alot seem to be coming onto the market (I don't blame people really especially after what has happened with LLL.com).

Regarding auction sites you could use ebay or the forums though I suspect you'll get *at least* 10%-15% lower prices. There is no cheap but effective venue for higher quality names in my view.

If those are your domains, you have some great names. It is hard to find secure and cheap prices for such a big auction. I guess you should keep them for now.

ya those are nice names, i'd be happy to have any of them in my collection. Personally I feel that you would most likely lose more if you used ebay. You are best off putting them on Sedo and doing some self promotion of your portfolio etc, you'd have a better chance of getting a premium.

Unless you are desperate I would hang onto them in this economic climate. Promote and only sell later if you get a good price.

Hold them untill the current chaotic market clears up.. There are some desperate sellers atm losing $$ on top domains on sedo right now. If you dont HAVE to sell right now, I'd advise not to, as you won't get the best price right now.

Bad time to sell. Keep them with urself atm. Try to monetize it the best way first and wait for the correct buyer to come your way. You won't get the best result on any current domain auction site.

With the traffic you are getting on 222.com you could always throw up a "Domains for sale website" using this domain, inviting offers for your domains.
If you managed to get a decent sale through the website you could use Sedo's external transfer service to complete the sale. This is a secure escrow service that currently costs only 3% of the sales price.

The people losing are those who paid inflated prices during the boom. I wouldn't necessarily say now is a bad time to sell myself, especially the numerics. The market is well down but it is down from very boomy levels. Still downside potential in the market in my view, in particular the more speculative names with low or no revenue. I'm not saying sell or don't sell, but some people were saying it is a bad time to sell right since prices first started coming off, and obviously they have dropped a heck of alot more since.

Wow man, usually when someone puts up a list of name to appraise they are all crap. This is a big exception. You should list these all individually for appraisal and give us a chance to "drool over".. I mean appraise them one by one. That way you would get much better feedback. A lot of your names would get pages of replies on their own.
