Right now and for some time, it has always been 24 hours to bump a thread.
About less than half the time, it is a good feature.
But more than half, it is just downright maddening.

So why not change it?
To one bump per week?
Or only a bump when your thread drops off page one?

See threads that are still number one or two or three, get bumped.
And some every day! Regardless.

My nickels worth.

Yes, that is where the damage goes on.

Thanks for the suggestion, we can give more thought to it after looking into activity. However, 24 hours seems like a fair number for everyone. If nothing else, it helps encourage sellers to login every day, rather than logging in once a week or once a month. at which time a buyer may be frustrated waiting that long for an answer in the thread or PM.

IMO, 24 hrs bump is just fine. If the actual bumping post makes some users unhappy, it can be solved by adding a bump button that can be active only once in 24 hrs, w/o posting anything. Similar to digitalpoint.
