thank you! - Actually I'm more interested in the first registered date than the age in years?

Might want to update your first post ;) Such things are quite specific and people will find it from "bulk check age" not "bulk check first reg date".

You already have the days result, do you not calculate age (days, months, years) from the original reg date and so could just echo it out too next to each one?
Or if not, a simple calculation of todays date minus your result?

There is a whois tool for Windows that is OK, if anyone wants to know, tag me and I will get the exact name, I am currently on my linux computer. It does have nice export if you want to then spreadsheet results

@NickSE - Oh wait, did you want first registration ever? Like if it was regged in 2002 then dropped? Or just date of current registration?

Can anyone shed any light on the WayBack Machine? I have three dates, one from Afternic support, one from most WhoIs checks, and Wayback Machine. The dates are respectively: 7 years, 1 year, and 16 years.

Patent law
Main article: Internet as a source of prior art
Provided some additional requirements are met (e.g. providing an authoritative statement of the archivist), the United States patent office and the European Patent Office will accept date stamps from the Internet Archive as evidence of when a given Web page was accessible to the public. These dates are used to determine if a Web page is available as prior art for instance in examining a patent application.[41]

@sirlordcomic - WayBack Machine will show what existed on that site on that date - NOT continuous registration, which is likely what you are getting from the multiple whois checks. HISTORY is the date the site first appeared, AGE is the current continuous registration without drops or deletions.

These might help:
Goes back to 2000, functional but not pretty
http://www.hosterstats.com/historicaldns.php?domain=fishpaste.net

Goes back to 2002, nice format, has daily limit for free searches (I have only used free)
http://whoisrequest.com/history/

Thanks, for the insight. Is it common practice for domainers to use "date 1st registered" as the age of a domain?

Either way, it was interesting for Afternic to state 2007, when the WBM shows a site snapshot from 2001.

The HosterStats site matches WBM.

Extremely fast domain age checker. This bulk domain age checker tool helps you quick find out domain registration date, expiration date and name of registrar.
This domain name age checker tool is vital for many webmasters and domain owners when working out the rankings of a particular domain. This kind of domain age checker tool means you can see at a glance the age and, therefore, the ranking of a domain you either own or one that you're interested in.
