Buddhist Temple Banner Design.

Size Requirements : 766px by 268px
Color Requirements : MUST go well with a dark red/yellow and light golden background website
General Requirements :

Please use photoshop for this design.

This banner is for a non profit Buddhist temple website. The name of this Buddhist temple is Akron Buddhist Monastery.

Please include the name of the monastery on the banner on a different layer so I can make minor changes to the text.

The design has to be clean, artistic and creative. You are free to include pictures of Buddha, buddhism symbol.

Please also include a picture of the Shwedagon pagoda ( a famous pagoda in Burma ). Do a search on the web for it.

All the above items must go well in the overall design and pleasing to the eyes.


Please use different layers for texts and pictures. So I can make simple alteration later on.


All font files used must be included as well.

I may/may not include a second price winner of $50 depending on the quality of this contest. This is totally optional and I will post the results on the end day of the contest.

Lastly, please be creative and unique

the stock photo i used has the top of the pagota cropped out. i did my best including most of it in my entry.

tanz.oma, too much things on the right. Doesn't sink in with the pagoda.

J-MAN, very clean design. You may want to change the oval shape text design and also change the font for it. Other than that, its super clean.

Took down the outer glow some too. If u would like the outer glow the way it was originally, I can change it back.

The font needs to be changed, as well as the placement of the text.

Its much much better now...It seems like your design of having 2 same pagoda on each side is used by others. Here is a suggestion for you and others. Try putting another pagoda on the other side with the Kyaiktiyo Pagoda ( again, search for it on the web ). I will take your last design as a entry, but please submit another one with the Kyaiktiyo Pagoda.

Ok, I will try something, but, I think it is gonna be quite difficult to blend to different backgrounds...but I will try!

The Kyaiktiyo Pagoda is also golden in color. When you include it, do not include with other background. Just paste the golden Kyaiktiyo Pagoda into your design replacing the right existing pagoda.
