Brrrrrr it's cold!

Here in Pittsburgh, it's currently -10° F with the wind chill (0° without)...this is pretty much the coldest I've ever seen it here, and right now I'm really starting to appreciate the heat from my laptop! :hehe:

Anyone else being affected by this cold front?

Anyway you look at it - it sure as hell beats these temps.

Hi all,

The temps here for the last few days have been around 80F. We're supposed to be having cooler temps right now, not warmer temps. It seems like some of us are having strange weather. I'm really looking forward to the summer temps where the temps will range from 115F to 128F!

Well, im in Australia. Temperatures where I am range between the lowest of about 5*C in winter, and 45*C in summer, those are the absolute maxes though.

It's a nice summer, but if only it got that tad colder in winter, with the right weather conditions we would be able to get some snow perhaps

I saw snow today. Things are looking up. They are predicting it to be in the 30s by the end of this week and into next. Wow, you know it's cold when 30 sounds like 60! I can't wait!

Well someone decided to dump 3 inches of snow on us within a few hours which forced me to cancel my job interview.....yipee

We had a wind chill of -15 the other day... and classes were canceled in the afternoon/evening because apparently my town has only one plow truck (jk) and they wait till 2 inches of snow gather on the roads to plow them.

That's the way budget cuts work... Our state has drastically cut back on plowing as well. Ironically, the money our state saves from plowing less probably costs the states more because of extra accidents, police usage, loss of productivity, slower travel, etc.

Ironically, we have thousands of snow trucks here in Montreal (we're known to be prepared, unlike you American folks), but they've barely been used (incidentally, we literally wasted our money on a contractor for cleaning our driveway :td

it's mostly just COLD here and extremely windy, but no real snow or storms for many weeks now! Whoever said global warming must be seriously mistaken; it's global freezing IMHO
