I had looked into selling at Brandroot before and couldn't access their application. Then I found out that they only periodically open for a window of time for new applications. Well, the window seems to be open now. I just submitted my application.

Here's the link if you're interested. https://www.brandroot.com/seller-application

Good luck!

Brandroot is a rip off. Commissions are huge.

It's true the commissions are high at both BrandBucket and BrandRoot - 30% plus $10. listing fee plus $100. min. for logo designer. However, the sales prices are generally over $1000.00. Even at $1000.00, that still means $560.00 in my pocket which is not bad for names I hand register or buy at closeout (so basically over $500. profit per name sold). And if they don't sell there, I can take them to auction and at least break even as I'm only out of pocket the registration fee and listing fee.

In short, they're venues to consider. It'd be great if it works out, if not, there are other options.

I don't know about everyone else but I had so many different issues with Brandroot's site, I don't feel motivated to use them.
First I submitted a seller's application, didn't even get an acknowledgement of submission and heard nothing from them for about 2 weeks. I thought I did something wrong, but after two weeks later, I received an email from them saying that my application was successful and that I could go ahead and submit my names.
I tried to log in multiple times since then, but I keep getting messages saying that my account was not created. I went to BrandBucket and Namerific instead. Although now I am weary of BrandBucket because of the 25000+ names and the exclusivity. I guess Namerific is cool because you can list your name on Namerific and other marketplaces at the same time.

Yes this is great, but I can't justify paying 30% commission, it's just too much for me. And their logos aren't that great, pretty basic designs.

I hear ya Mr. Packer, that makes sense.

Hi Enwych, Brandroot requires exclusivity of your domain based on their Terms. Try Namerific.com, I think they have more flexible terms.
