    Morning all,

About a month back I bought half a dozen branded US Auto domains that were unregistered, as part of an experiment. Things like JeepofHouston.com or TampaRam.com

My thinking was that I'd wait until the end of the year and then get in touch with a number of Auto Dealers in the relevant regions to see if they'd be interested in taking them off my hands.

However, looking at them again now I'm wondering whether I'm likely to get into any kind of legal trouble if start trying to sell domains that contain trademarks in them, which is where I thought I'd turn to the forum for advice.

Basically, do you think it's still worth reaching otu to the dealerships? Or did I just waste 30 bucks?

    Thanks a lot in advance!

I think your idea is worth trying. Nothing is certain.

Drop the names with trademarks in them.

Trying to sell domains that include trademarks in them is a really bad idea.

I am new to domaining too and I saw this idea in youtube and bought a domain "audiofnewyork.com" .However I did not get any replies from any of the dealerships. If you can sell it would definitely go for nice amount though. I don't think you'll get into trademark troubles because there are a lot of dealers in houston and any of them could have taken the domain so mostly they will try to buy it from you and I think jeep won't look into something like this too at least that's what they said in that video XD
