I think Brandbucket already had too much when they crossed 30,000.

There is no direct way, and they dont disclose it publicly..

It is possible to have a custom made system that tracks all the sales, and I am sure some people might be doing it already, they will seldom share their results.

They must be selling more names than before, but percentage is certainly falling.

ive noticed tones of names dropping that were formally BB published names - wonder why?

Oh, that is always an estimate.. Reverse Whois, Reserve NS.

However difference of 10,000 is unlikely. I guess there must be technical reasons for that. like domains listed on brandbucket, but expired, or sold elsewhere hence not pointing to BB.
