Then you need to secure the matching .cn as well because it is likely sometime in the future the government will impose tight control on domains. If this happens, you may want to use .cn for the local operation but keep the .com for the rest of the world.

Epik is accredited for .CN. We are talking to the owner of Epik.Cn but no deal there yet. We are also looking for a China hire or China acquisition that would accelerate engagement with major Chinese domain holders. We are making headway in China.

Simplii only ever had a chance because of the massive marketing budget behind it .. and even then .. who knows if they are even a success at all?

That being said .. not sure if I was clear, but I like Epik as a brand .. as I mentioned above, I don't mind single words with alternate spellings .. what I don't like is two-word brands where one is altered (unless it's a very fun creative play on words).

    So Epik = good
But Epik Search = not so much .. Epic Search would be ok .. but then you'd get brand confusion.

FullVenue.com is not a good name for EventBrite.com alternative site. This is an event booking platform and not venue booking site.

UpEvent.com or EventZee.com would make more sense to me

Some voters thought that poll about the best domain name, not the best suitable domain for event business, so upevent is more suitable .

I really don't mean any disrespect .. but is English maybe not your mother tongues? While Up Event isn't a horrible name by any means, but in terms of word flow it doesn't come close to Full Venue (I'd actually feel the more natural way to say it would be UpEvents, although the fact I think both aren't too bad says something in itself). And EventZee completely fails the radio test (unfortunately it doesn't come close to being a possible choice because of the multitude of alternate spelling .. plus there already is an EventBee).

Beyond that .. all events take place in a "Venue", so most definitely the name is 100% appropriate, with the added bonus of the name being more open to potential future expansion into related services. As someone who has worked in events on and off for over 25 years I can safely say FullVenue is an ideal name! :)

I go with A7 too but without the .com. And icon needs retouch a little.

Here are my thoughts I already shared with @Rob Monster ...

A1 - I like the concept, but the white space is in the star really isn't right. I'd also have the star moved a few pixels to the left to have the full base of the "V" showing.

A2 - I don't like the multicolor tickets .. makes it seem like 1990. Maybe if it was just one ticket (I also don't really like the star in the ticket .. also dated)

A3 - Not horrible, but the bubbles are kinda meaningless.

A4 - I like the concept of this one as well. But both the F and V aren't really featured as well as they could be. If the white line were a bit thinner (pic 1), the stem of the F would be a bit more apparent, and you'd have just enough of the left-side portion of the V to have a tiny check-mark effect which I think could be much more significant to the acronym (would have to see it to be sure I guess). Or even simply get rid of the whitespace between the F and V (pic 2 .. using sharper lines obviously)
    `1. FullVenueLogo.png 2. FullVenueLogo2.png

    A5 - Really don't like the logo.

    A6- Perfect for 1973! lol

A7 - Like the logo on this one a lot. Maybe test it with different fonts or try to get the blue in Venue to be more consistent with the colour of the digitised ticket (or vice versa). Maybe get a few different versions of this as well.

A8- Not bad, but nothing special either.

A9- Really don't like this one. It might work much better if it wee imposed on something other than whitespace. The font is just ouch in that context.

If I had to choose without any further alterations, then A7 would be my pick. I think the digitised ticket is a good concept and imagery for the project.

I like A7 the best also, and personally would retain the .com. Afterall this is not an offline business you're building a website for, but it is solely an online platform. I think that makes the extension important as part of the branding.

IIRC, Amazon was originally "Amazon.com." Not anymore.

That may well be the case, though Amazon is also no longer just an online business.
I'm sure there would be other examples of companies that have dropped the .com from their name though - and that's fine - but I still go with my earlier opinion. Everyone is entitled to their own though!

I think that A7 is a good choice,

Can you make any changes or improvements on A7 , I was thinking it might look nicer if you could make the capital F a little bigger and then extend the top of it in a straight line that goes over all the other letters to the end of the logo. (also the colors are good, but I think I like the font in A5 better)

A7 appears the best choice. Depending how you're using it, it might be too horizontal in length for its height, based on how people view things. Eg.:

If it could be done in a way that it doesn't look unbalanced, maybe could rotate the '.com' so it reads vertically, rather than horizontally? &/or play with the length of the image in front of the lettering?

That could be because 'Amazon' is now considered by the majority in its market to be 'Amazon.com'. The .com is no longer necessary.

could be because they are looking for global presence now. .com is for the American markets & .cc TLD for the rest of the world.

Interesting thought. I tried the .cc and it's forwarding to amazon.com. Quickly tried pulling up some images of amazon using amazon.cc, but none were readily apparent. The 1st images shown were amazon credit cards. Is that where the .cc is being used by them? To stand for their credit card?

I've been into Ries' (and Trout, his ex-partner) works for some years. If you haven't already found it, try also Ries' site for some additional and current thoughts - ries.com
