'bout time for a new Internet

Anyone seem to notice a lot more hacking going on then maybe 2 or 3 years ago? And even more recently (last 3 months)? I a while ago read an article about a second internet in a magizene (I forgot what it was, I think it was Maxium PC). Well that could one, mean that all of the money you all have invested in Domain names will be worthless, but it then means investments in the next internet will be safer, weather domain names or websites. Any oppnions on a new internet?

The new internet? What kind of shizz is that. The internet doesnt physically exist in the first place. It's just a bunch of computers tied together. So in order for there to be a second internet would mean a second world with a whole bunch of computers to hook up to each other. I dont know I'm just sleepy.

In theory a second internet , would need a different Backbone of servers tied together just like the first, then to access that New ISP's that only connect to the new Backbones.

Is technically possible. Just nothing in the "new" one could be tied anywhere into the "old/current" one.

the only reason hackers exist are because of people not properly securing there systems and applications. if everyone had setup and tested the proper security measures the internet would run fine

Yes hackers would still hack but it would take longer for them to figure out how.

I probabally should have clarified, by 2nd interent I mean a new way of connecting to the internet.
