Chris, take your time with this, please. That is a premium name in the UK and elsewhere and is greatly understood as Sportsbook!! If you auction then the right end user may not be there. You should get an experienced broker. You may even want to contact the broker who sold sportsbook. That buyer would have interest in this name as well as sportsbook.com

Awesome!!

Quite frankly, they tend to want the reserves low. What do they care, it isn't their domain. They just want a sale. You need to approach them with a reserve specified and they can take it or leave it.

My advice if you want to sell right now:

Post on several forums that you really want to sell this beauty.

You will awake some buyers with USD to spend. The bids come in automaticly...

Set yourself a price on which you are happy to sell and only sell for at least this amount. If you spread the news that you want to sell, the big bids will come in. This one is a premium!!!

good luck

I would list it now on the tail end of the sale of sportsbook. It will help the price.

It would be funny if MobiVendor was actually Jeremy or Rick Schwartz just effing around with us. (Although I highly doubt that)

i'd sell / auction it, as I cant see too much value in the name. Yes, i know bookmakers is generic, yes I understand the term but what end user could potentially want this name??

I get the sportsbook thing - but for UK relevence surely the equivilent would be "betting", or "bet"... i.e. betting on your mobi or bet on your mobi. I cant see how the plural of bookmaker is gonna be of major interest to any end user.

I was thinking the same but better quality ones like "Bookies" would seem more relevant to the UK market. I don't know anyone who uses the term bookmakers or even worse "Turf Accountant" :hehe:

Personaly I would approach some of the large betting organisations and say you have it for sale.Push the angle as an umbrella domain name but I would'nt expect to get tens of thousands for it.

There is no problem with prior rights as the .co.uk is dormant and not doing anything.

How will you do that?
Check some .com's whois, then send email?

Thanks.

Within the UK there are 3 highstreet bookies I know of Ladbrokes, William Hill and Coral.I would phone them up.Why bother emailing them ?. Get hold of their marketing and speak to them making sure they are aware the others are being approached and go from there. They will tell you to either put in in writing or say not interested (very unlikely).

Sending an email for me would be a last resort offering it for sale or emailing "call me".

I reckon there is mileage in the name but not entirely on web-based marketing or getting SEO. Kind of like a branding opportunity.

i would not auction it now. it is premium word in europe. i would wait until reserve will jump for couple more zeros. dont be in hurry with this. anyway you have 2 years of registration.
