Book.IM Development Suggestions?

Hi Guys,

I bought "Book.IM" a couple of months ago, originally to flip it but looking at the parking traffic reports I think there is more value in developing it.

In the last 3 months'ish I have had more than 100 views on the domain, please bare in mind for about 2 weeks of this it wasn't parked with SEDO. I haven't actively advertised this domain and feel as though if I could increase then monetize the traffic I will be quids in.

I have had ideas about what I could do with this website but I think the best thing I could do is do affiliate marketing. The strange thing is that the traffic has come from multiple sources and this could be a good thing, could also make it complicated?

If you guys could please select which of the ideas you think has the most potential, if you select other could you give me the suggestion in the thread?

EDIT I forgot to add the poll.... DOH! Could you let me know in your post one of the below;

- Book Website (selling reading material)
- Booking website for tickets, holidays, flights etc.

Since you have the .im extension I would try to build a collection of internet marketing books & ebooks. Its quite a large and popular niche...you can also add a blog with free articles, tips and advice on this topic.

I quite like that idea actually, I was actually trying to find out what I could do with the IM part to make it more user friendly to a varied geographical audience.

So you reckon by building a collection of pre-existing marketing literature/e-literature for marketing this could be a seller?

I think there is at least one big paperback publisher on the Isle of Man. I don't remember the name but I must have a few paperbacks from Dean Koontz or something like that. I seem to remember the published was based on the IOM. Could be a possible end user but I know that over there they also use .co.im (earlier registrations) and .co.uk too.

With some programming effort and good UI you can do a Book Website - like Reviews, Feedback, Purchases, Lowest Pricing from different sites, and it ll work. Or either book hotels, air tickets, cinema shows, trains and bus using third party sites like expedia and makemytrip etc. Do not loose it, if u work well on it indeed is very catchy domain.
