Does it have any TM Violations?

There is a product called Body For Life, but its such a generic name...its like trademarking "Sit Here" or something

What do you say?

And if there are no violations, can you give any appraisals?

Even I've heard of this one over the last several years. They do have active trademarks http://tess2.uspto.gov/bin/showfiel...h&a_search=Submit+Query&a_search=Submit+Query

I see other trademarks for other companies but they have other words included, not just body for life.

You can get the info with the basic search. I'm sure you might be able to go more into detail with the other stuff but I don't usually check trademarks. I only checked this one since it kind of piqued my interest since I was big into bodybuilding about 8 years ago and this was definitely a name I heard before.

Yes, I would imaging that there would definately be TM issues with this name

"Good faith" would really have a part to play in this I think, due to the genericness. I hadn't heard of Body For Life before now, and it is pretty generic, so I guess it could go either way in a courtroom, though if there is a trademark issue (and apparently there is) it could definitely go to court.

As someone in the field, I'd liken regging Body for Life to someone regging Weight Watchers. It certainly has the possibility of being taken away from you and would really be hard to develop into something which wouldn't infringe on Body For Life's business.
