Body mods or tattoos? List yours

Having no bodymods or tatoos or piercings for the last 30 years, I decided to try a bodymod and split my tongue. This didn't quite work out as it healed back together far too quickly. Does anyone else have any split tongues, implants or the like on here?

I am a tat person..right now have 5..2 on shoulder, 2 on arms (identical armbands) and one around belly button (lot of nerves there so was most painful) as I work in the business world..my tats can't be seen unless I want them too..and yes getting tats can be addictive!

Not really as bad as I thougth it would be.
I've got an ingrown fingernail which I damaged the other day which has been much more painful.

You should consider piercing your tongue, then tying a piece of fishing line in the hole, and slowing make it tighter. I saw it one some TV show. Some guy did it to get his.

I have not done anything to my body...yet. I probably am going to get a piercing one of these days. I am still deciding. Hopefully soon, I will have something.

I've heard of that method, but it seems too long and drawn out, not to mention more painful than necessary. Plus, having to retie the fishing line each day would be a pain, coupled with the fact that no-one would have a clue what I was saying makes me want to stick with option A: a quick(ish) slice.

Not cauterizing the first cut was where I went wrong methinks. Piercing the tongue first though, does seem like a good idea, and would probably stop the tongue healing from the back as fast.

I don't see how you don't consider cutting your tongue with a razor blade as not being painfull. But either way, you may want to get it professionally done so that there is no infection.

One lady in particular doesn't love it. My girlfriend said she'd leave me if I did it. I did it and she didn't leave. She says if I cut it more, she'll leave. Should I cut it more?

Seriously though, about modding your tongue, it seems more discreet that others.
Most people would only see it if I showed it to them, wheres the likes of piercings and implants are usually more visible.

Piercings heel though. I also wouldn't go with implants.

No, I have longer hair.

Just the tongue I want done, none of the rest.
I don't like the lizardmans tatoos, I find the enigma's tatoos much more aesthetically pleasing.
