I'm not in the traffic domain space, so I'm wondering - without giving away secrets, how do you tell if an applicant's portfolio meets your organic traffic requirements? Do you just view the domain names themselves, or do you check the previous traffic in some way or what?... Presumably this is all automated these days anyway?

However, according to the majority of publishers who started working with us and continue to stay, domain monetization is still profitable. Of course, results may vary from one domain to another depending on traffic quality, GEO, devices, and other factors.

I have applied to Giantpanda and the account is not yet approved. I am looking for other alternatives to Bodis since some domains have some traffic.

It's worthwhile that you bring this up, because the situation has actually become quite problematic.

During my DS‑record investigation on December 22nd of last year, I also examined a dataset of 5,398 domains that were using Bodis nameservers. I've now rechecked every domain in that sample, and the current state is concerning.

A significant number of those domains (2,222 in total) still list ns1.bodis.com and ns2.bodis.com as their nameservers, even though those servers no longer respond. As a result, these domains are effectively non‑functional, and it appears that their owners will not notice or take corrective action. And what makes this even more troubling is that new domains are still being configured with Bodis nameservers today.

For the remaining domains in my Bodis sample set, the nameservers have shifted as follows.

Given that my sample dataset covers only 5,398 domains, it's safe to assume the real scope of the issue is far larger. This sample already shows a significant failure rate, so the total number of affected domains across the full (ex-) Bodis footprint must be substantial.

This makes sense and what one would expect of domainers throwing in the towel and trying to grab a few sales before their portfolio expires.

If it's real human traffic from legitimate high-quality links, yes. If it's all nonsense SEO back links being used as cover for fraudulent traffic, no.

There are some automated processes, but once you've seen enough traffic domains,
it becomes pretty easy to spot the shenanigans.

Most get stopped at the door, but every once in a while one gets through, we catch it, and the owner whines that he/she isn't getting paid despite agreeing to the TOS which very clearly states they won't be.

... I'm thinking of the type of domains, that in my uneducated mind seem ripe for type-in traffic, like carhire.com (just an example, not mine)...

Thanks for the explanation. I'm actually quite new to this field and don’t have much knowledge of backend programming, so I'm not really sure how backlinks from used domains can generate or used for fraudulent traffic.

They don't NEED to have traffic to start. I can't tell if they have traffic until they're already on our system.

Once a domain is on our system and pointed to us, the traffic is monitored to ensure compliance.

They do pay if you have legit traffic. There was a few times I was worried bc my system picked up a crazy domain that was [not reproducible, will not disclose]. I kept pinging Paul (sorry man!) about the upstream not paying out. He saw it was legit traffic and would fight for it. Got paid.

The RSOC model currently only accounts for 40%-50% of the AFD-2025-Q3 period. Is this the upper limit for this model? Is there any room for growth?

Just received last payment from Bodis. I will miss them. Domainsponsor before them were even better. Park with GiantPanda now. Def not like the good o days but they are reputable and pay on time. I’ve noticed Parklogic have seen an increase in parked domains. Anyone here use them?

parked.com, namedrive and voodoo all paid well while they lasted

ppc has been very good to me over the years, so it will be interesting to see, if gp can revive the game

Great for most of my names, but not for everything. Actually, I've noticed it's more profitable to send people to RTB.
