Yes, I notice that too. But if you have customized the "content text" then it's still there.

I'm not certain, but I think that's probably a good thing, and a deliberate move by Bodis.

Search engines tend to notice when sites have got identical content, and I think a lot of people must've been leaving the content as standard or just changing a few words here and there.

Encouraging people to come up with their own relevant content is good, and every domainer who makes the effort and comes up with something original, and relevant to the keywords in the domain should see some kind of increase in the long run.

Maybe it's tied in with the 'quality traffic' thing.

Concur. I have my own text template saved in wordpad so I overwrite it anyway when updating domains.

i have had problems

with google at certain park companies. What i think is happening is the pages are labeled as spam due to identical content and are de-indexed.What bodis is doing is good because any lame text will be unique and "save you".Imho all park comanies will have to allow for unique content or lose google=lose customers. As soon as i had google problems i had to move domains from that park company.I have seen park companies with much better looking pages but they don't adress this issues so what good are they? When bodis improves there apearance they will have the trifecta.

No, I don't think that is true. If you take a look at skenzo, they use the same text for all domains, and mine had not been banned even using their service for years.

Duplicate content in Google will not get you banned, penalized or removed from the index (unless it's a copyright violation)

It will, however, likely prevent you from ever ranking reasonably well.

Think of any web page content (whether developed or parked) in terms of percentages. A certain percentage will be duplicate by nature - the navigation, links, header, footer, etc. So what you have to play with are the titles, meta description (if you have access to it) and the stuff in the middle. The more you can UP the percentage of unique content relative to the inherent duplication on your page, the more likely you are to start to gain ranking in Google.

That is why you have to do some customization

I always do some customization - even when I'm busy.

I also thought the search engines would start seeing a tremendous amount of duplicate content in the pages.

Even if you're busy, I would suggest that you make at least subtle changes to the text.

I have not checked them all to see if they have been blanked out though, I will do that this weekend.
