You're definitely right to create a new thread for this, because it's actually a different perspective on .tv and a very interesting one.

Whether people like him or not, Bob Parsons has always liked to show himself as a celebrity in the world of registrars.

I actually think that .tv is the ideal extension for celebrities and people who want to become famous (whether they are singers, bands, actors/actresses, designers, etc.)

You mentioned Bob Parsons' video blog and live podcast on his .tv site. But that's exactly something that could be applied to any celebrity or any celebrity wanabee.

We will definitely see many many more video blogs and live podcasts in the years to come, and .tv is definitely the perfect extension to market and promote those. :tu:

Heroes, glad you started this thread. I saw his site the other week, but I thought it had been up for awhile. i wasn't aware that it redirected before.

No question that he is a fantastic promoter - the reg and revenue numbers don't lie. Another great use of .tv - Its certainly interesting to watch some of his videos.

there is a little something to be said when the number one domain registrar uses .tv
