There is nothing to explain.

There are some idiots who buy lottery tickets everyday. However, they just don't understand how insignificant the odds are of them winning!!

Someone must have thought he got the "blockchain" domain not knowing he bought a "chen"

Crypto craze!
That

Read a couple of days ago, people were ready to pay up to 0,5 BTC for an account at some of the crypto exchanges (it stopped to accept new accounts anymore)

It is advisable to confirm spellings of domain name before pressing the Buy button. Some times typos are so cleverly made that at first glance eye can not catch any problem.

Branding.

If you want to start a company around Bitcoin or the blockchain, you can't use "Bitcoin" or "Blockchain" as your name, but you can brand around the name "Bitchein" (Bitcoin + Blockchain + gegenschein?) and everyone will know what your company does.

Popular companies using brandable names: Google (correct spelling is Googol), Citi (correct: City), Kraft (Correct: Craft), and Infiniti (correct: Infinity).
