Bizarre boost in traffic on one of my names...

I have the name Domain8.com, and it has been getting fairly good traffic for a while, probably about 20 uniques a day average. Now in the last few days, it's been getting 110+ uniques a day, with most of the traffic boost seeming to be Spanish adult traffic (the referral URLs are sub-pages of Domain8 or Google searches for terms on those subpages...it's bizarre!). I'm going to try and move them to an auto-op parking site and see how it gets optimized now, but was wondering if anyone might be able to help me determine why the sudden boost in traffic, especially that kind of traffic. Thanks!

probably somebody launched a new website which has almost the same meaning like domain8 ... maybe something like domaineight ... and somehow end up going to your site instead. :hehe:

Yea, and ironically that's what's bringing in the traffic. Who the hell would put a Spanish adult site on that name?

Velvet Enterprises Limited (UK) by the looks of it - archieves show it was for sale and once pointed to gambling - c o uk and v8 - com

Can't see anything that may be Spanish related unless its spanish domainers looking for domain8.se and typing .com by mistake but I doubt it :hehe:
