Hi, I just tried to register a .co.uk domain name at http://www.domainmonster.com
I have got to the finnl stage of the prosses where it says:

--Start--

We are now registering your Domain(s). Domainmonster.com communicates directly with each Country's Registrar. This provides immediate registration and we will confirm each successful registration below.

This process can take up to 60 seconds for each Domain Name you have ordered. Please don't press Stop or Back in your web browser during this process.

--End--

So I have waited like 5 min. But nothing happening. It also says:

--start--
Microsoft OLE DB Provider for SQL Server error '80004005'

[DBNETLIB][ConnectionWrite (send()).]General network error. Check your network documentation.

/func/dns_api.asp, line 38
--End--

So what should I do?

Im scared if I leave the page it will not register and I will pay for it.

Thanks
Sean

All ok, I decided jut to redo it an I think it has only charge me once :)

Well know when I go into my account home it comes up that I have 2 domains and there both the same one. LOL I have contacted them and hope it gets sorted out.
So much for having the site done by tonight.

Whenever you order a domain from somewhere and they are laggy, you can go to another company and register it so long as it is still available even if it says on their site that they are going to register it for you in 'so many' seconds.

All registrars that I know of refund the money if they are unsuccessful at registering a domain.

If domain companies are too slow, they've lost out on your custom.

hmm it is a real bugger! you can certainly go to moniker.com and do a search on your 2 domains and see if they have been regged...if they have then you can be patient with domainmonster....if the names have not been regged then you can either again be patient and wait for DM to establish contact with you. Alternatively you can reg the names with another registrar and contact your CC company to cancel any charges that are uncertain with domainmonster...............

That sucks! But I am sure they can help work it out for you, since you've contacted them. When you do a WHOIS (at, say http://www.whois.sc ), does the domain show up as actually registered? I would check and make sure it's not still hanging around out there!
