So I have gone with Bido for parking and I am gonna auction there too. I am not looking to sell xx,xxx names or anything just make some nice reasonable sales to put a couple bucks in pocket, plus the potential parking money on top of that but with my profile of names I'm not counting on that too heavily. So just curious if anyone has experience with this, if it was a good or bad experience, is there tricks the experts know to do, that as a noob I'm gonna screw up? Pitfalls I need to avoid? I am not gonna destroy any future real SEO value of a name just because I parked it first right? It's gotta be at least as good as having them just 404 error out right? Or has the mighty Google deemed parking "bad neighborhoods" or "web spam" and it''s gonna hurt my names value? People from this forum pointed it out to me so, any thoughts or any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much.

In generally you won't hurt, but help your domains from the standpoint of SEO. This will be increased if you can optimize your domains and even add some original content on them. What's good for SEO is good for parking!

Even if your domains don't get search engine traffic, all will be forgiven later if they have a real site and it has been seen the domain is no longer at a parking provider.

But if your domains are listed in your signature, parking may prove disappointing. Still, there can be chances to sell some. Maybe.

If your domains don't earn anything after a couple of months, try a different parking service. And try to find one that will not only let you optimize the domains, but also get some links from other sites. Most parking places don't allow this, but some will. Those are the ones that give you what you need to get some good traffic to your parked domains and maybe make enough to pay for lunch once or twice a year.
