well sorry i am wrong but i think in hindi brother is "BHai" not bhae , and also this is not "بھائی" hindi word , i think this is urdu ( used in Pakistan ) and also in pakistan brother is "bhai" not bhae

but i might be wrong aswell and all my life i could have been saying it the wrong way .

Urdu and Hindi are similar in pronounciation however your claim that "bhae is wrong" is not correct. As it is a pronounciation, it can be both "bhai" and "bhae". Different people say it differently.
