So, I've been a member for some time now (since late january) so I think it's long past time to introduce myself.
I'm Joris from Beveren (near Antwerp), Belgium. I'm 30 and I have a lot of different previous hobbies.
First I started out as a hobby/indie gamedev. Never released anything significant, but did a lot of prototyping and helped a few friends debug their code. From there I started working in the family business: a beer/wine/spirits wholesaler. That's still my fulltime job to this day. Working 6/7, 12hour days.
Because I've lost interest in game programming, I found a new hobby, brewing beer. That hobby, or passion is a better word, sparked the birth of my own brewfirm and we are now saving for our own brewery equipment. Having bought a house with some farmland to facilitate the brewing, we are also going to plant some grape vines because, why not? I LOVE fermentation!!
But, the microbes go where they want, and since november last year, I picked up programming again. Java and PHP. While working on some PHP I learned about Flippa and bought my first domain... And another... and another...
Safe to say, mistakes where made, I only looked at them from an enduser point of view and thought I could make a wesbite for all those domains... Then I found NamePros ... Well... Lets just say I got a portfolio of about 300 names (180 - 210 rubbish) and absolutely NO time left.
So my weeks are, long days at the wholesale. Weekends we brew and/or attend beer fairs. And in the evening I try to code/develop sites as much as I can.
In between I'm here on NP, trying to offload some lesser names, buying better ones while holding my garbage for myself. They'll drop november through februari next year...
I'm going to keep looking/reading here, learning as I go.
I do have to say, WONDERFULL platform, I've already learned a lot!!
