Better Blogger or WordPress?

I need a new blog, so would love opinions on which one is the best option at the moment, especially for monetize it.

Yes, WordPress is good, but I also beg to differ. Guys who are pimping WordPress need to also know....Google is targeting WordPress sites, especially new ones under the current Caffeine improvements. Seeing that everyday, thousands of WordPress blogs are created all around the world. It's crazy now. What happened to BANS can also happen with WordPress.

I sense Google is targeting WordPress sites, as in not giving them a good ranking until certain conditions are met... or until a probation/sandbox period has passed - since Jan 2010. Prior to that, WordPress sites could easily rank, but it's harder now.

I just set up a WordPress site in a very low comp niche and to date, it doesn't rank for anything good. It took a long time to be indexed as well. Not so in the past with other WordPress sites....

I know there will be people who will disagree with me, but me thinks, why not do BOTH? WordPress and Blogger. Then you will see which one is better. If done up well, I can bet you, the Blogger site will do better.

i agree with every one suggestion that wordpress is the best but why cant we concentrate on sub domain sites with advance futures like webriq,weebly,webs,wix

I used to think wordpress is good, actually it is really good, but now day by day blogger gets improved than wordpress (anyway 2.9 wordpress is great). So i would say blogger has some plus points than wordpress. But for the time being both are good. Still most of the blogger use wordpress.

Last time I used the "ProSense" theme but since I have installed WP from cpanel, instead of messing with folders I was trying to find that theme from my Admin Panel but it it not there.

Which theme do you use?

I think a 3 column is better.
