Best way to advertise a free script?

Hi all i am looking for advice on a good way to advertise my free forum script.

Anyone got any good ideas?

you need to list it on different scripts directory such as hotscripts.com
http://scripts.com/php-scripts
on google just search "php scripts" or "php scripts directory"

Any website i try to submit to won't email me back to say if it was accepted or not, it is highly annoying

you open first a developer or a programmer account with them and wait for about 24 to 48 hours and you'll get an email if your account is rejected or accepted.

of if you can't get in the way is to become sponsor

why not promote your free script here at Namepros under Free Resources http://www.namepros.com/free-resources/

and then make a post with a poll so those that have downloaded your script can give you feedback & vote.
