hey guys,

I'm looking for the easiest/friendliest way to learn xhtml and css. The cheaper the better too!
I prefer to learn from videos if possible....
What do you guys suggest?

By far the best website I've found to teach a beginner how to build a website is
W3Schools Online Web Tutorials
and it's free.

Here's a four part series of videos, on YouTube, that teaches some CSS.
Part 1
Part 2
Part 3
Part 4

She teaches in a way that most beginners would not feel overwhelmed. Go to her
2 Youtube channels and you'll find she (Lisa) is a wealth of information on making
websites and marketing them.

Try w3schools and also try Microsoft front page. I learned from its code section. :)

For the beginner there is lots of tools to make it easy for you. For instance the mini site I made for bullionbull took about an hour. (the flash intro goes to mini site after about 10 seconds.) All these tools are supplied free with every domain purchase. I think alot of hosts provide them nowadays.

I learned from W3Schools myself and I highly recommend it :)

learning from practice is best, which is why i'm giving another vote for w3schools.

videos work better if you're talking about using a particular program, but you can do css in any text editor, some that format your code and others that don't.
