Requested Tutorials: Tabless Design, Div and CSS themes

Hello guys,

I am an old-style web designer who always used tables. But with scripts and things changing towards a clean layouts totally based on CSS file and DIVs I would like a quick tutorial guide how to learn quickly building those tableless themes?

I've decided to learn it finally because I need to design one wordpress theme.

I already know XHTML but do not know how to make tabless design, and how they set divs instead of tables on the fly. Someone be kind, and post some guide for me.

*mention: I already know XHTML, PHP, very minor CSS (text formatting, backgrounds)
