Best escrow service?

Hi,

I've been approached privately by email, and made an offer for a domain name I own. So I was wondering, anyone got any opinions on the best escrow service around? Naturally I'd like the best of all services, 3% or less, fast, efficient. Can I do better than Afternic's or Sedo's 3% fee? Who's the faster Afternic, Sedo or perhaps someone else? What's the fastest time anyone's received a check after the process was initiated?

Also wondering, I've also got the name listed on Afternic, but like I say, I approached privately and made the offer (for less than I have it listed). So, if I decided to sell it via Afternic's escrow, is there any danger they might try and charge me their full 10% fee instead of just the 3% escrow fee?

Also, with Sedo's, Afternic's and other systems, can a domain sale be kept private, or are they always displayed on their websites?

A few questions, not too many I hope :). Thanks for any replies

escrow.com and moniker.com are the "gold standards" , :imho:
Sedo.com and afternic.com are also both great, but I'm not sure how to prevent the "selling fee" from kicking in... sending an email to either of their support staff, or by contacting billinchina on this board might be a way to find out.
Also, make sure your offer isn't a scam (If the offer email is signed by a PhD, it's a scam), and never pay for an appraisal nor a "verification fee".
Best of luck,
Allan

I use escrow.com. Until now everything has gone smoothly with them.
