benoit.us and saddam.us are expiring tomorrow. Would they be worth backordering? I do realise if they're worth anything that some other NP members will be bidding now but I am creating a domain drop-catcher and need to grasp domain value better. I'm more interested in learning than catching these two.

Also, do you have to be a US resident to register .us domains?

Also lebu.net is expiring. Worth anything?

On a side note, how hard is it to catch dropping domains and should I pay $60 for Pool to backorder it or should I try to get them for $8 from GoDaddy?

When I started drop-catching I grabbed a couple last names (not as popular as those but in .com and not much action on them as I come up to renew them). I know the .us is very lax on who registers them (at least they use to be). I had 1 and had no trouble registering it and Im Canadian, but thats just from one domain.

ALso I would "learn" from snap as they grab most of the ones I try for. If you just want to learn maybe do a search for "exactely 3" letters and join all of them. You wont win with your 60 bid but you will be able to see a whole bunch of auctions.

I think they are both pretty good ones to try to catch. Both words receive xx,xxx,xxx search results on google. Are you looking to develop these names or flip them? I'm sure they both receive at least some type-in traffic, I think they both have nice development potential. More potential than trying to flip for profit. :imho:
