hi there.

please dont ask me why, but i still got around 1200$ as a deposit at registerfly. ;-(

since they´re not responding to my 5.542.574 open tickets regarding this aspect i´ll give it a try with you guys.

what would you recommend to try to get my money back:
- my favourite solution would be to transfer my money to paypal or creditcard (if this is possible at all)?
- registering tons of domains for the amount of 1200$ and try to transfer them to godaddy or any other registrar?

i don´t think i´ll ever get my money back, so the second option could be the only chance to get at least something for my money? does this work? did anybody try to transfer currently registered domains away from registerfly? do you have any advice for me?

I think both of your ways are stucked

As registerfly isn't an active registrar anymore, so you wont' be able to register new domains with them, again i dont think they are gonna refund you. If you are in US then you should try to contact them physically or try contacting ICANN, cause here nothing else actually can assist you unfortunately

If you recently sent this, phone your bank and demand they do a charge back. Your bank is probably the best place to go other than a lawyer or ICANN.

well, unfortunately this has been around 8 months ago. so i´ll have an ask at my bank, but i dont think they´ll be able to get the money back. ;-(

i think i heard, that you can only request your money back in less than half a year after payment. i´ll keep you updated...

I had $40 there before the debacle, then a month or so ago i decided to not give them my money for free and regged 5 domains using their system.

I received email confirmation and the domains showed in my control panel but guess what.. they were still available for registration.

So if you spend your $1200 in services or domains at regfly you won't get it, they are only processing payments, nothing else.

You can be 100% sure that if regfly were near my home i would pay them a visit, and im not talking about a pleasant one.

Expose your case to your bank and do a chargeback.

I can't talk about regly anymore, it puts me in a bad mood..

You can always file a complaint with the BBB that is how I got my money from some con artist companies like that. It sucks that your bank is not helping though.

I saw some talk of a class action at registerflies.com, but you'll be in a very long line. Probably have to kiss that money goodbye, I'm sorry to say . The word registerfly should become synonymous with getting screwed : ' Oh man, that car dealer registerflied me !'

You can always file a complaint with the BBB that is how I got my money from some con artist companies like that. It sucks that your bank is not helping though.

Looks like they aren't able to do bogus regs anymore, can't even log in. Hope everybody got their names out .
