BB Codes Not Working in PMs

What is with the BB codes not working properly in PMs? For example if I code the tags for bold around a word, it shows the tags in the resulting message instead of rendering the bolded text. Likewise if I type in a URL or even www.domain.com it just displays the URL tags around it in the message instead of rendering a link. Even the QUOTE tags are not working. UNLIKE how these things are being rendered in this post.

I swear this used to work in the past for PMs. Is there an account setting I am overlooking?

Same thing here, screenshots don't work either.
Please turn it back on guys because it creates really messy conversations when you're using quotes as well.

It was purposely disabled to prevent fraud/phishing/etc.
