Sounds like Craigs list to me. I was shocked one day when i went through it's personal section after I saw a news article on it.
I never even heard of backpage.com till I seen it yesterday on the news.

The interesting aspect of all this is how the escorts went from Craigslist to Backpage to now Instagram and social media to promote themselves. Backpage has been online for a while but there were rumors they would be taking down eventually.

I believe the in order to post on that specific section was so profitable for the site even though it is shut down they made a killing over the years. I am sure they will just come up with another site to put up.

They had other sites in their name’ acting for the same purpose of backpage.com and those have also been seized > really you have to understand this was not about escorts > this was about underage human trafficking and human trafficking as well as the cartels selling drugs through those being victimized by these crimes
