So you get an offer, then sell the domain to the buyer.

If you have another domain and it's very similar or maybe even better but they didn't know do you...

A. Tell the buyer up front and see if they want it?

B. Wait until the sale is done, then tell them and see if they want it?

C. Never tell them and wait to see if someday they randomly make an offer?

D. Develop a competing website then sell later for much more?

E. Find and contact a competitor of the buyer and offer it to them?

F. Gift it to them at no charge?

Just looking to see what others do.

Its just like the old adage "a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush". Go for the sure thing otherwise risk walking away without a sale.
