I want to back order a domain. This is the whois details:-
Expiration Date: 2008-10-08
Last Update Date: 2007-10-13
Status: clientDeleteProhibited, clientRenewProhibited, clientTransferProhibited, clientUpdateProhibited
Registrar: GODADDY.COM, INC.


Is it possible to back order it ?
Which company shld i backorder with ?
Currently I dont have any account with Go Daddy, shld I just go and purchase the package of $18.99 thats all ??

You shouldn't backorder it at GoDaddy. Go to TDNAM and bid on the domain there.

I checked the domain under auctions....Its not there !

so you mean first it does to auctions.....THAN after auction if no one is interested than it does to public sites where we can back order ??

Well look at it this way. How can a domain be good that :

1. The owner no longer wants it
2. The drop catchers dont want it.
3. People bidding at the auctions dont want it.


Better thing to do is to have it backordered at snap or namejet so that when caught, you actually have a chance in gettingit. Also if noone else bids for it, you can have it for $60. Before that you dont need to pay anything upfront. If they catch it, and you ordered it, its urs for $60.


When u backorder thru GoDaddy you only get the domain if noone else "Really" wants it. It wud s*ck really bad for noone to want the domain. If the domain has a 5% markup potential, you will see someone bidding higher than the backorder fee at TDNAM. So better off saving those $18 and bidding for it at the auctions.
