I agree with Joshua, in that this is what these types of domain (i.e. letter + 2 no/s) have been selling for in the past.

Personally, I think these are difficult sales, and that it is much more difficult to try to understand why on earth they achieve such prices. Of course, there may be some cultural element to their value, e.g. in China they have some significance, but otherwise these are meaningless domains...

unless, they are e.g. B52, or other L+2no. names that have famous associations.

The North American B-45 Tornado was the United States Air Force's first operational jet bomber, and the first multi-jet engined bomber in the world to be refuelled in midair.

Everyone knows B-52's and it's also a band, but history buffs do recognize B45. :)

David, a great and insightful comment from you, as usual. I remember the band (!), I wonder if they're still around? :)

I don't know if they are or not, but oddly, I recognized B-52's being connected to a band before an airplane... :xf.grin:

I believe high $$$-low $$$$ as that's what they've been selling for around this year (a good benchmark to work from). Though, you can get LNN's much lower with private deals and in bulk.

It's noteworthy to mention that B54 got $10,000, so it broke the $$$$$ mark and are the same numbers rearranged. It appears B54 (eventually) sold to a binary trading company and is in use. However, B is shorter form of their name.

A name prone to getting high traffic (o00) sold for $1,100.

So, it's not like this is a solid 5 figure name. It's anywhere from mid-high $$$ to low $$$$$. It all depends on if you can wait it out and find the right end user for it or need the cash now.

For reference purposes B49.com sold @ NJ for $1,500 a few days ago.

for more reference I sold T71.com and T81.com for about $1000 each a few years ago (2008) (hand regs). Sold on ebay. Records show I had T62.com for a few days the same year before a quick flip ($300 to $500) (board to board)

Solid Domain $400 to $1500 reseller/quick sale
End User $1500 to $15000

Thanks everyone! You are all so helpful.

Domains are not my forte, but I now find myself needing to do something with a hundred or so that my husband "collected" over the years. I figured getting my feet wet in some domaining communities would be a prudent first step. I'm not sure if I should approach these individually or as a group/portfolio, but I'm finding a wealth of knowledge reading everyone's posts.

Didn't think about the Chinese angle. Anyone have any experience with 4.cn?

If you're looking to liquidate them, my suggestion would be to post them as a portfolio in make offer ($500 min) if they're of this quality.

You may get nibbles and bites.

Its a nice name and i agree with others probably low xxxx. If the other names you have are comparable to that then i would either put them for sale at godaddy auctions or 4.cn. 4.cn isnt a bad place to sell names but it takes 2 to 3 weeks to get paid.
