I check my awstats daily to see how my site is doing. For the past 2 days, the stats did not update. I am positive my site is being viewed because my bandwith is going down. HAs this happened to anyone else?

does anything happen when you hit the "update* link at the top?

I've never heard of this problem before, do you use it through Cpanel?

If your site is on a cPanel server and you're using the built in Awstats there is a little unknown bug that seems to cause this once in a while for certain domains. Either files get corrupted or the actual log files don't get rotated or something else.

I've found you can usually fix it by running "/scripts/runweblogs yourUsername" to manually update them. Then if they still don't start auto updating again it may be a problem with that actual log files not rotating or not being cleaned up. I've found you can usually fix this by running "/scripts/runlogsnow" and then running the previous command again. Of course you would need root access to your server if you wanted to run those commands, so if you don't have root access you would need to ask your host.

Also, there was a problem after one of the recent cPanel upgrades with a missing Perl module that was causing Awstats to fail. It just required the install of the Geo::IPfree module which can be installed with "/scripts/perlinstaller Geo::IPfree."

i just discovered today that the SAME exact thing is happening to me!

ERG!

Error: Plugin load for plugin 'geoipfree' failed with return code: Error: Can't locate Memoize.pm in @INC (@INC contains: /usr/lib/perl5/5.6.1/i386-linux /usr/lib/perl5/5.6.1 /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.6.1/i386-linux /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.6.1 /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl /usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl/5.6.1/i386-linux /usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl/5.6.1 /usr/lib/perl5/vendor_perl . ./lib ./plugins ./plugins) at /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.6.1/Geo/IPfree.pm line 22. BEGIN failed--compilation aborted at /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.6.1/Geo/IPfree.pm line 22. Compilation failed in require at (eval 1) line 1.

Setup ('/home/trent/tmp/awstats/awstats.trentfan.com.conf' file, web server or permissions) may be wrong.
Check config file, permissions and AWStats documentation (in 'docs' directory).

/scripts/perlinstaller Memoize

That should fix the problem. You can also install the perl module Memoize via WHM.
