May 25 - An Englishman claims to have broken the record for staying awake for the longest period of time.
Tony Wright, from Cornwall in England has managed stay awake for 11 days as part of his research into human sleep.
Wright relied on a diet of raw food, salad, nuts and seeds in order for him to stop himself from snoozing.
He has been researching human sleep for 15 years and claims that each side of the brain requires a different amount of sleep.
Before his record attempt, he carried out more than 100 experiments with sleep deprivation lasting between two and eight days.
