I've been a customer of DomainSite for a little over 2, maybe 3 years now. I've always used PayPal to make my transactions and only had, well, several and not-so-intermittent problems with them!

Recently I have been trying to register a domain but constantly get these errors, each time after checkout:

ERROR
We were unable to process your order. Please contact support at [email protected] regarding this issue and include all information included on this page. (1)

PayPal Transaction ID: 0KM10317PVxxxxxx

PayPal's notification emails instruct buyers to contact the merchant about why the tx was voided in error. I contacted them, and they offered me an alternative, but no explanation as to why this occurred. The alternative is to manually add credit to your domain account.

Okay, fine. I sent them money manually via PayPal to pay for the transaction. After the credit was added to my account, I looked up the domain again, but got this error:

Warning: mysql_num_rows(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL result resource in /usr/local/apache2/www.domainsite.com/registration_actions/add_names.php on line 379

Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /usr/local/apache2/www.domainsite.com/registration_actions/add_names.php:379) in /usr/local/apache2/www.domainsite.com/registration_actions/add_names.php on line 752

A long while later, I proceeded to purchase a domain with that credit, but got this error!

Account credit has been authorized.

ERROR: We were unable to process the items in your order.

Please contact support at [email protected]. For faster processing please specify your username and the domain name(s) or service(s) you were attempting to order. Thank you.

Now I have just told them to fix their site. I am seriously dissatisfied and am considering taking business elsewhere.

These are the only errors I have documented from incidents recently, however I have been getting DomainSite.com errors over the years I've been doing business with them. If I was serious about domaining, I would have encountered many more than I did already, and would have lost much productivity and time.

With constant and incessant errors, and a support staff which will not respond to your entire inquiry, I advise a withdrawal of your domains and account(s) within DomainSite.com to other, more reliable registrars.

Well as I will have repeated this order about x4K in the last year alone, I think I know my figures.

I'm having a similar problem with http://domain.com

Domain registrars slowly dying?

Some of the problem is that bits of their sites are not compatible with one browser or another. Try switching from IE7 to Firefox or Opera or vis-versa.

As a web developer myself I guarantee these are not browser-related issues. These things are processed before the page is sent to the client's computer where the web browser displays it.

But anyway, I just wanted to throw that out here... let ya know.

Well, I know that I have had such issues with domainsite. Some bits just would not run in either IE7 or Firefox. Cannot remember which, but the problem persisted for months and one worked consistently and the other didn't. I have got a clue about computers, but it seemed pretty conclusive to me. I have experienced the same thing over and over with many sites over the last couple of years, but if you insist everything is fine in the browser department for all the registrar sites that might be encountered, then I will have to take your word for it.

Its a Real Registrar, Australian . Check the whois of this domain http://www.vicosite(dot)com, and are a division of blue bottle. Give them a chance.

For logicbox fans, is a good option. Last Year they answer promptly to the price rise, and say "we dont rise price" . Check WHT, me begin to talk of them and now many supporters. Check them.

( i am migrating many of my semivaluable domains to them , you can push info and orgs from Reseller club to them)
