RE: Autonomous & Driverless car domains

Seems like there's a lot of news lately, as recently as the last few days, of advances in driverless & autonomous cars. There are multiple auto makers getting ready to launch some form of these cars, and of course, Google is working on their project car.

I have a handful of domains related to this news & technology, and I am wondering if anybody else has any? Also, any spike in traffic to your domains, or news of sales???

In the future, “sheer driving pleasure” will also be defined by how automated driving can make life easier for our customers. Find out how the BMW Group is implementing "fully autonomous driving" over five levels of development.

Self-DrivingShip & Self-DrivingShips

Self-Driving Ships
Two Norwegian firms are building the world’s first fully electric, self-driving ship. The ship will be 100% electric and have zero emissions (according to the companies producing it). The ship, named Yara Birkeland, is expected to begin operations in late 2018. The firms claim that the boat will replace thousands of truck journeys required to haul fertilizer to ports in Norway. See Sebastian Leck, “Two Norwegian firms are building the world’s first self-driving, electric container ship,” National Post, at http://news.nationalpost.com/news/w...ds-first-self-driving-electric-container-ship

Japanese firms plan to launch self-driving cargo ships within decade
Shipbuilders and shipping firms believe autonomous ships will reduce accidents by removing potential for human error

Commercial drones and self-driving cars will soon be joined by fleets of autonomous cargo ships that navigate the world’s oceans using artificial intelligence.

DON'T FREAK OVER BOEING'S SELF-FLYING PLANE—ROBOTS ALREADY RUN THE SKIES

" BOEING JUST GOT into the autonomous aviation game, with the goal of building jetliners that fly themselves, no pilots required. “The basic building blocks of the technology clearly are available," Mike Sinnett, Boeing's vice president of product development, said ahead of the Paris Airshow.

The prospect of a pilotless passenger plane may strike you as crazy, even terrifying. But developing computer systems sophisticated enough to pull it off is well under way. Autopilot technology already does most of the work once a plane is aloft, and has no trouble landing an airliner even in rough weather and limited visibility..."

NVIDIA Describes AI’s Critical Role in Self-Driving Cars to Key Senate Committee

Artificial intelligence is the key to unlocking the challenge and promise of self-driving cars, NVIDIA told Congress today.

In testimony before a packed hearing of the U.S. Senate Committee on Commerce, Science and Transportation, Rob Csongor, vice president and GM of the company’s Automotive business, said that AI will in the years ahead enable self-driving cars that save tens of thousands of lives, provide mobility to the disabled, improve urban design and save vast amounts of unproductive time.

“Today, we are working with virtually every automaker on research and development of advanced self-driving vehicles using AI,” said Csongor at the start of the two-hour hearing, which was attended by more than dozen senators, and some 150 staffers, lobbyists, reporters and a few stray tourists.

“Our technology is being used by more than 225 automotive companies worldwide, including Audi, Tesla, Toyota, Volvo, Mercedes and others. We are now at the point where we can create AI systems that have levels of perception and performance far beyond humans, and importantly, do not get distracted, fatigued or impaired,” he said.

Self-DrivingCenter / Self-Driving .Center

Hyundai Mobis Opens Self-Driving Car Test Center

Hyundai Mobis announced that completed the Seosan Driving Test Center on land of 1.12 million ㎡ in Seosan Bio Wellbeing Special Zone.

The driving test center features 14 driving test roads and 4 test labs including its main hall. Ground was broken on the construction of the center in the first half of 2014 and the center was completed at the end of last year. The center was put into operation in June after reinforcement work and tests at the beginning of this year.

The center boasts of 14 test roads on land of about one million square meters which include roads with special surfaces such as a high-speed road and a radar test road, a test tunnel, and a round low-friction road as well as cutting-edge special roads.

Advanced and radar test roads are to test the development of autonomous driving technology. The high-tech roads will evaluate core technologies of autonomous vehicles by creating a real road and traffic environment such as a fake city, a soundproof tunnel, forest roads, bus platforms, guard rails, and other road conditions encountered by drivers during their normal drives.

Hyundai Mobis is also developing an autonomous navigation system based on V2X (vehicle and object communication) that links with communication by establishing an intelligent transportation system (ITS) environment. The radar test road puts sensors such as cameras and radars into test as they are key technologies for a self-drive.

Self-DrivingStore / Self-DrivingShop

The Grocery Store Of The Future Is Mobile, Self-Driving, And Run By AI

In Shanghai, a prototype of a new 24-hour convenience store has no staff, no registers, and the whole thing is on wheels, designed to eventually drive itself to a warehouse to restock, or to a customer to make a delivery.

The startup behind it believes that it’s the model for the grocery store of the future–and because it’s both mobile and far cheaper to build and operate than a typical store, it could also help bring better access to groceries to food deserts and rural areas.

For consumers, it’s designed to be an easier way to shop. To use the store, called Moby, you download an app and use your phone to open the door. A hologram-like AI greets you, and, as you shop, you scan what you want to buy or place it in a smart basket that tracks your purchases. Then you walk out the door; instead of waiting in line, the store automatically charges your card when you leave (Amazon is testing a similar system). The tiny shop will stock fresh food and other daily supplies, and if you want something else you can order it using the store’s artificial intelligence.

Best of luck bro
I saw these hyphenated names available a few days ago. That was immediately after watching the video. Would have picked up but hyphen got me discouraged . Have a had enough of hyphenated names in this niche

Don't be discouraged. Typing/keyboard might be history. Voice to Search might favour hyphenated words especially when that's the right spelling. Examples Self-Driving, Self-Flying Self-Service
