I am looking for a fast and free tool, script or whatever that I can paste a list of domains in and it extracts the words from the domains and returns the Google results number count for the phrase.

Example...
MarkFulton.com would give me the search results number (13,300) for "Mark Fulton" in Google.

Any tool like this available? Would save me a bunch of time. Thanks in advance.

If I'm not mistaken, Estibot does this.

Hi DotSauce,

Your request reminded myself about about a similar domain name research tool I had wanted to build and now it's built!

My new tool will return for each domain name in your list:
1. The domain's Alexa Traffic Rank, Links-in widget image.
2. A link to the domain's Alexa Traffic Rank page.
3. A iFrame loaded with the domain's Google search results.
4. A iFrame loaded with the domain's Archive.org WayBack Machine results.

The tool is simple to use, just enter your list of domian names (with the TLD suffix and each on a new line) into the input box, click "Research Domains" and the topmost domain will be processed displaying it's results and removing it from the input box. Repeat the button clicking for each domain remaining in the input box.

For your safety I have installed a 10 second submit button delay to prevent any chance of Google seeing your activity as an automated script and having your ip banned.

Another nice feature I have built into this tool is the ability to resize the Google and WayBack Machine iFrame height by typing your desired height into the appropriate textbox.

Enough said, here is the tool's link.

I hope you find it useful and I do plan to build a new tool for your exact request soon.

P.S. This tool is written in Javascript so you'll need it to be enabled. Being Javascript the loading is quick and since your queries are not going through my server they are kept private from myself but not from Google, Alexa or WayBack.

Enjoy!

Why do you build me up, buttercup? ;)

You don't have permission to access /Domain_Research_Tool.html on this server.

Additionally, a 403 Forbidden error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

My apologies to all disappointed NP'ers :( for the 403 Forbidden error! :notme:

The frikkin hosting company dumped my website for overloading their sorry shared server. If I had the money My-i-p.com would have a dedicated server but I don't because it's visitors won't ...

The website with it's Domain Research Tool is back-up and on a Godaddy server so I'm sure the loading will be speedy.

I spent 2 days building this tool and would like for a few folks to give it a try. Perhaps checking a list of drops might be interesting.

P.S. Anyone know of low cost* shared hosting that can withstand a low bandwidth, yet resource intensive site? *Under $10 per month and preferably with month to month payments.

DotSauce,

I have finished another tool that might help in your domain name research.

My new tool is the List Search Tool (LST) which will allow you to load a list of items (which can be a list of domain names) to be searched for on Google, Yahoo and MSN. The list's text input can also be manipulated with the addition of a prefix and/or suffix and replace text ____ with text ____. In addition, I have also built most Advanced Search Features into the tool's interface. (e.g. image searching, search within this domain/TLD, etc.)

My idea for domaining use of this tool is:
1. Enter your list of domain names. (Each on a new line.)
2. Within the text replacement feature enter ".com" to remove the TLD suffix.
3. Start searching to see how (hot or not) the domains wording results are in the big 3 search engines.

Of course List Search Tool (LST) is useful for other research where your in need of quickly loading search term after search term. Check out the image search mode it's a blast!

Below is List Search Tool's (LST) address.

Hosting Update:
I have moved My-i-p.com to HostGator and it's pageloads are now lightning fast!
