Has anyone heard of or have any experience with the ability to having your website auto tweet a post?

Example. I have a coupon website and I would like my site to auto post a tweet taking from the header of the offer. e.g. Buy one get one free pizzas.

I would like this to automaticaly happen say every 10 minutes or a predetermined time frame.

Any suggestions would be awesome. Thanks.

See what TweetDeck offers. I've known people to use it with forums to post news articles, but I cannot guarantee it will be suited for what you're looking for.

Assuming you have an RSS feed for your site, I would just use this:
twitterfeed.com : feed your blog to twitter

Otherwise to answer your question I would need to know what CMS you are using (WordPress, Joomla, Drupal, etc), if any. Hope that helps.

It is possible to post a message from RSS but recently one of my twitter account was suspended due to too much auto posting. Be careful. :td:

That's surprising, maybe Twitter targeted people using a certain service. How many tweets were posted and how quickly? We have an account that posts updates regarding domain auctions using the Twitter API, and it has done more than 1,100 tweets (none of them manual) in a few months without issues.

I was using twitterfeed.com and check my site every 30 min. Circa 3300 tweets posted in a few months.

Hey Dan,

If you haven't figured this out, send me a PM. I can help you with that. You can use Twitter API to do it.

I have some success with twitterfeed. I have linked my forum RSS feed with twitterfeed. And because of that i get periodic tweets in my tweeter account from tweeter feed. I just want forum threads, but right now it is also posting replies as well. Which i want to minimize, i'll see if there is any option for me.

If you have wordpress then there is plugin that collects 5-10 or custom number of tweets and creates posts based on that. I'm not sure how you can do that with your coupon website though.

So if it was a coupon site are you all saying just to add a rss feed to each one and twitterfeed will kick them out in certain intervals?

It should work IMO. I have no idea how the coupons RSS is so i can't comment on that. If you have RSS feed for that then twitterfeed can pick content from that and can post to twitter account.
