For those in Australia, discuss the acceptance and usage of .tv in your region.

I just read the UK thread and thought "wow!'. Unfortunately I've seen very little usage of .tv. There is a ski show (local production) that uses .tv and I've seen Mattress.tv - thats about it from what I have seen and my eyes are wide open for it.

Mainly its all .com.au here.

Agreed, there is hardly any use of .tv here, I've only seen a very handful of TV programs or ads that included a .tv web address

JJJ radio mentioned a band or something using a .tv recently. the announcer didn't have to explain it or anything - the kids get it

Quite a bit gets seen these days on TV

When the Cricket tour was in India recently bcci.tv was constantly on the screen 6 hours a day,
actually we have 2 televisions on where I work and bcci.tv was on 1 screen and on the other at the same time was fuel.tv.
snow.tv is a weekly program on Saturdays.
Fox8.tv is popular

There are others as well, it is getting seen here and there.
need more developed sites though.

It gets used a bit on tv (small % of tv shows, shop at home ads etc). The most pominant user of .tv used to be foxtel cable tv though they reverted to a .com.au a few years ago.

Just Googled site:.tv (pages from Australia) and discovered there are a lot more developed .tv sites than I first thought.
