Augmented Reality (AR) domains

Last night I ignored the urge to register SpaceShipThree.com , and today the .com .net .org and .whatnot is all taken.

Today I decided to redeem myself and find another good dn investment. After a bit of investigation I discovered the huge potential of Augmented Reality: Google Trends: augmented reality . The estimated AR market size in 2014 is $732,000,000 , especially in AR marketing.

I think adverts and billboards shown as augmented reality on mobiles will become simply huge, and so I decided to get a piece of the pie, all new .com registrations:

There are still a lot of possibilities available, so I thought I'd share this so you can also get a piece of the action :santa:

I hope this thread doesn't start to go the route of the virtual reality thread and people start reg'n every crazy domain with a "VR" or "AR" in front of it.

Someone had reg'd VRbeltbuckle.com but you have to look closely at it....closer, closer, closer, closer, look just a little closer

I don't know if I should have said that but....it's pretty funny and gets to my point of don't get too carried away.

Understand your point but dont really the beltbuckle thing.

I think the VR frenzy started after reported sales, and yes , i guess its gonna happen in AR when some big sales will come.

It makes no sense is my point.

Plus think about someone coming up to you and saying that they have a VR Belt Buckle on and you ask to see it. They tell you to look closer at it. Look even closer, closer...do you see it now? You have your face somewhere you might not want your face to be...

Moral of the story is don't put your head(or money) where it doesn't belong.

It was funny in my head, but if no one else gets it....

Good. Don't go overboard on just VR or AR domains. Just like the stock market or other investing, you need to diversify your portfolio.

Get a couple really good AR/VR domains and then move on to the next keywords/investment. Keep your portfolio as small as possible and be very selective about what you buy.

If you have sales in one niche then keep them coming, but without sales, it's hard to keep a large undiversified portfolio.

However if you are lucky to get some really good names, its better betting with more names on a specific niche to milk the cow till the end

I treat this pretty much like VR names, with the AR in front preferred (and it was regged quite a while ago, before anyone knew kw+VR or kw+AR had any value...) In any event, the kw+AR version regged long ago as well, so that ship has sailed...
