Auctions Are Hard; How Do You Pick Names With Increasing Bidding War?

In the last 4-5 days, I have been outbid for every single name I touch...

The last one today in which I thought I had gotten the name when it remain just 10 Minutes to go... and bam.. I don't know where 4 bidders came out from an that auction ended at over $120 and quite risky due to the fact that it had just ONE end user insight who manages a small business.

I have another one which I am watching and I am worried I may lose that one as well... I will have to wait till 5 seconds before I place any bid.

How do you cope with current increase in bidding war? Can newbies survive the current market pressure?

to be honest, its very hard for the newbies to compete with pros in the market unless you got good $$$ in your pocket.

Godaddy and I am currently in another one at snapnames with 28BIDDERS on backorder auction.

I have better luck with ones you can snipe at the last second. Dynadot for example.

Usually 5-10, just enough time to make sure nobody else is likely to bid. Also make sure you put a maximum you are comfortable with paying (even though it may not actually reach that price) and you think will be higher than anyone else who might have proxy bids in place.

Just keep in mind many auctions extend bidding to prevent sniping, so it won't work at GoDaddy or Flippa. You just have to duke it out or over pay if you get tired
